Does Naviance have Scattergrams?
Naviance scattergrams show prospective college students how their peers at their high school fared with individual colleges and universities—and helps provide a sense of how they can expect to perform in the admissions process.
Is Naviance GPA weighted?
This information is currently up in Naviance and students can now view their weighted GPA.
Does Naviance use Superscore?
Yes, we superscore both the SAT and ACT. That means, if you take the test multiple times, we will take the highest individual scores and combine them.
How does Naviance know your GPA?
Use the URL and login information to access the Naviance service. Click the link titled “About Me” upon logging in. Click on “My Profile.” From here, various information about the student will be displayed on the screen, including his GPA.
Can parents see Scattergrams on Scoir?
Scattergrams are only available if your student is linked to a high school using Scoir. A student will only be plotted as a data point on the scattergram if they have a GPA and an ACT or SAT score in their profile.
How do I change my GPA on niche?
You can update your GPA by going into your profile settings. First, make sure you are logged in to your Niche account. Then, click on your name in the upper right corner of the home screen and select the “Edit Profile” option in the lower portion of the sidebar that appears.
How does the scatterplot compare my scores?
Our scatterplot compares your scores with other Niche users associated with each college or university. Your percentage score and the datapoints in each admissions chart are meant only as general estimates and may not reflect your actual chances of admission.
What does a scattergram from Cappex look like?
Here is what a scattergram from Cappexlooks like: I created a fake student who is represented by the yellow star. On the horizontal axis, you will see test scores, and on the vertical axis, you will see the GPA. The other dots represent students who were admitted, wait listed, and denied, which gives us a quick visualization of the applicant pool.
Why are there rough categories for college admissions?
These rough categories ensure that students will have good options and will not sell themselves short in the admissions process. A successful college admissions process will also probably mean that you are denied from some schools (which is okay!).
