– Clean the surface with a dewaxing, degreasing cleaner. I personally love Krud Kutter for this. – Scuff sand the surface with 220 grit sandpaper. You don’t need to sand down to the bare wood. – Vacuum and wipe off the dust with a damp rag (water).
