What is a Rural Health Scholar?
The Rural Health Scholars program was developed to provide additional educational support to high school juniors and seniors who are highly interested in pursuing a health care career.

As a Health Scholar, you will assist staff with the following types of activities: taking vitals, ambulation (i.e. help a patient walk), bathing, feeding, re-positioning and transfer, You will help with a myriad of tasks in a variety of hospital nursing units.

About COPE Health Scholars Applicants will apply online and complete short answer responses. If approved, applicants will be invited to a group interview. If accepted, applicants will have three training days on Sunday. On the final day, applicants must pass a practical and multiple choice exam with at least an 80%.
